Noelle — Loved your story! I was one of the 18 and it was a great meal. I enjoyed meeting you (I am the redhead who sat at your first table — before the musical chairs). This was an incredible dinner — as all of CWK dinners are. Really nice review — you captured the dinner well.

On Saturday I made a curry-themed series of dishes, but the most interesting one (I think) was the steamed Kale with onions, which I tossed with some S&P using spoons that were covered in olive oil and curry seasoning. Kale and chard are the big discoveries of my post-child life, and I’m lucky to also have a kid who likes them.

Good post, and I’m excited by your food-life.

SinoSoul – I would have LOVED to wander, seriously wander, and try the street food. But, it was so hard. They didn’t really let us do much, and then there was the whole “on no, they’re not from here, they’ll get lost!” mentality that went on… Boo.
But, I think I’ll go again and try it again. I was reissued an invite to go back to see my friend Stone I referred to up there, and he said all I had to do was to get to Taipei, and he’d take care of it from there! So… I’ll get recs from you before I go!
Have you been to Ping Tung?
